An easily accessible almost 3000 m high mountain with spectacular view. 

Via hut taxi to the Lämmerbichlalm, and from the mountain station Rastkogelbahnen then on a constantly rising beautiful hiking trail to the Hoarbergjoch approx. 1 hour to ascend. (2.590 m).

From there one walks on for about 45 minutes towards Rastkogel (2.760 metes), one of the most beautiful look-out mountains in the whole area. Here one can enjoy a spectacular round view from the Zillertal alps, to the Hintertuxer Gletscher, the Tuxer Voralpen up to the Inntal, and far away to the north towards Germany.

Afer a short stop, one walks on to the Rastkogelseen, and from there to the Geiselhöfe and accros the
Vogelaue to Gemais, a beautiful district above Lanersbach. The landmarked mountain farmers residential estate "Gemais" can be admired here. Now it is not to far to the valley.
