Mountain farmers are essential to the alpine landscape. They maintain the meadows, the mountain pastures and the woods. Under difficult conditions they pursue their business.

The Almenweg provides an insight into the agriculture of Tux. 95 % of all farms are dairy farms. There are about 1000 cattle in the entire valley, German Simmental and brown cattle are the dominating kind. All mountain pastures of the villgae of Tux are farmed. Mountain pastures in the village of Tux are farmed, some also maintain rest stops for tourists.

Geiselalm - Hobalm - Vallruckalm (Jausenstation) - Nasse-Tuxalm.
