Ice palace at the Hintertuxer Glacier

Step into a sparkling world and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty and pureness of nature. Mystical ice figures, twinkling ice crystals in a legendary surrounding.  

Over the newly build glass stairway you step down to the „walk of ice“, this broad hallway is the connection of the glass stairway and the ice dream room. In this room there are up to 10 cm big ice crystals and much more to gaze at. Just 200 m apart from the highest point of the Hintertuxer Glacier the icy journey begins. From the look-out plateau at the Gefrorenen Wand (3,250 m) with a beautiful panorama view over the mountains in the Zillertal a safe path leads to the entrance of the palace. The team around Roman Erler, from Natursport Tirol, is ready to help with words and deeds.

For the tour we recommend good footwear as well as a warm jacket. With The guided tour through the nature ice palace is also possible with ski boots. You get helmets directly at the entrance of the palace.
